Going Out in Glasgow - Nightlife.

Pub Scene.
Glasgow is home to almost 1,000 different pubs in it's city centre and West End alone, making it one of the UK and Europe's most exciting nightlife venues.

The city's Sauchiehall street is one of it's business shopping districts, and come night, perhaps it's liveliest hot spot. A fantastic range of bars line mainly the top end of the street (towards Charing Cross) including Driftwood, Nice N' Sleazys, Firewater and Bar Budha.

Behind Sauchiehall Street lies Bath Street, featuring a similar range in nightlife. Popular Bath St bars include Bunker, Mini Bar, Baby Blue and Spy Bar to name only a few.

The stylish West End quarter boasts a number of chic bars in it's three main areas, Byres Road, Ashton Lane and Woodlands road. Byres Road as well as the beautiful cobble stone Ashton Laneare popular amongst tourists and locals featuring fashionable favourites such as Brel, Vodka Wodka and the Loft.

The Royal Exchange Square area of the city also boasts a range of bars, B'lo and All Bar One being amongst the most popular. The city also boasts 4 university unions, filled with bars and drinks promotions, most notably the Strathclyde Union - the largest Student Union in the UK.

Boasting a lively gay scene, gay bars are scattered around the city, particularly in the Merchant city area, featuring favourites such as Moda, The Candle Bar, Revolver Bar and Delmonica's or 'Dels' as it is affectionately known. The Merchant city a large number of bars out with the gay community such as Tiger Tiger, Bargo, Arta and many, many others.
