Charles Rennie Mackintosh and architecture enthusiasts are equally well catered for with Glasgow’s striking collection of buildings designed by this magnificent 19th and early 20th Century architect. Scotland Street School Museum, is one of his finest examples where visitors can experience the Scottish education system from 1910 through to 1950s as well as marvelling at the decorative tiled interiors of this magnificent structure. Glasgow is also home to the oldest public museum in Scotland, The Hunterian Museum situated in the grounds of Glasgow University’s main building.
